We also work very hard to ensure the boys of our troop are advancing in their trail to the rank of Eagle.  We have Assistant Scoutmasters assigned to encourage the boys to stay focused on advancement, with one assigned to Trail-to-First Class, one to Star & Life and one to the boys working on Eagle rank.

We are a boy-run troop, as the BSA recommends.  Twice a year, our Patrol Leaders' Council meets to do a rolling 12 month plan.  The plan includes a monthly selection of which patrol is in charge of programs, what the theme of the month is, which patrol is in charge of Service and where we plan to go camping.  The troop meets every Monday night, except during school holidays. One meeting each month is a PLC meeting, where the Patrol Leaders do the plan for the next month or two.  On a different meeting each month, we have a Parents' Meeting, which serves as our troop committee.
